Fairness, Transparency and Accountability in Machine Learning (FATML) course at IIIT Allahabad
I’m attending a 10 day course on Fairness, Transparency and Accountability in Machine Learning at IIIT Allahabad. Prof. Suresh Ventakasubramanian is the main course instructor and Prof. Shekhar Verma at IIIT A is the second instructor.
Today we learned basics of Machine Learning, i.e., perceptron, kNN and SVM models, what are the various parameters to evaluate a ML model, what do they measure, what do they don’t measure. What are the various errors that a Machine Learning application can contain and ended the day with a brief discussion about discrimination in ML.
I’ll keep updating my course notes on this github repo: https://github.com/hargup/fatml_iiit_a
The lectures are also being recorded, hopefully they’ll be online soon.
