Consti-tution S01E01 — Voting: Homework review

Meghnad and others with News Laundry have started a new web series called Consti-tution, where Meghnad talks about how our democracy works.

The great thing about Consti-tution is that it has homework. The homework for the first week was to know about the MP from your area. My MP, from Mumbai-North-Central is Poonam Mahajan, she is the daughter of late BJP politician Pramod Mahajan. She is also the leader of BJP’s youth wing.

She has a good enough track record at the parliament, her attendance 82%, slightly more than the national average of 80%. She hasn’t participated in a lot of debates, but has asked a lots of questions.
